Tricia, I'll need more information to run tests on my end. Can you send an email to support(at)bookshare(dot)org with the subject "attn: March." Please provide me with the following info:

        1. Login email.
        2. Book title/author/ISBN
        3. iOS version (under Settings/General/About/Version).

I've tried everything listed on this page and cannot get the images to appear; downloaded through iTunes on my desktop, plugged in ipad, selected apps, chose Read2Go, added zip file (tried the actual unzipped file and the unzipped folder file), synced, turned on images, still no images...

I"m using iTunes 11 (most current version) and a brand new purchased version of Read2Go (1.0.3.0) Since my daughter is dyslexic, images mean A LOT to hear when reading. Any further advice about how to get this to work?

I'd like to get more information on what you're experiencing. Please email me at support(at)bookshare(dot)org and provide the following information: 1. iOS version (Under Settings, General, About, Version). 2. Read2Go Version (under Help). 3. Book title and author. 4. The error message you receive when transferring or opening books. Also, please put Attn: March in the subject.

We have had problems downloading w images in our district too, even after following all the steps. Could the problem be that the file is too big to be transferred to the smallest i pad we have?

Patty - We have just removed the download password from our entire site. This should fix the bug users have with transferring some books via iTunes. I'd like to see if you can download a new copy of the book so that it does not have a download password and transfer it again. Please note that if it's a Daisy with Images book, you'll need to wait until the link expires (the expiration date is in the email sent to you to inform you the book is read). Once its expired you'll be able to redownload the book, and our system will repackage a book for you without the download password encryption.

I have tried this and it is not working. I have done both procedures. Read 2 Go cannot read it.

Currently, users will need to download the books with images onto a computer and manually transfer them in to Read2Go to read books with images. Please do the following:

Prior to transferring books with iTunes, please ensure you have the most current versions of iTunes and Read2Go.

To add books onto your device using iTunes, please do the following:

        1. Locate and download a Daisy book through Bookshare on to your computer.
        2. Plug your device in and open iTunes.
        3. Select your device under Devices in the left window pane.
        4. Select the Apps Tab on the top of the page for the device.
        5. Select the Read2Go app.
        6. Select the Add button near the Read2Go Documents section.
        7. Locate the downloaded Bookshare zip file.
        8. Select Open.
        9. Sync your device to finish transferring the book.

*Please note that you'll need to be logged into your Bookshare account in Read2Go prior to transferring the books.

Once the books with images have been transferred, you'll need to turn images on in the app. Go to Settings, Visual, Display Image toggle to On.

If you receive issues opening a book after transfer, try the following:

*Note: Please ensure that your device is running iOS 5, and that your iTunes software is version 10.5.0.

        1. Locate and download a Daisy book through Bookshare on to your computer.
        2. Unzip the book on your computer using your download password.
        3. Locate the unzipped book folder, and right click on the folder.
        4. Select Send To.
        5. Select Compressed (zipped) Folder.
        6. Windows will begin to zip the book without an encrypted password.
        7. Plug your device in and open iTunes.
        8. Select your device under Devices in the left window pane.
        9. Select the Apps Tab on the top of the page for the device.
        10. Select the Read2Go app.
        11. Select the Add button near the Read2Go Documents section.
        12. Locate the downloaded Bookshare zip file.
        13. Select Open.
        14. Sync your device to finish transferring the book.

*Depending on the size of the book, it may take a few minutes for the book to show up on your bookshelf as Read2Go has to re-extract the zip file.

This would be wonderful! I have a student with low vision accessing all his textbooks with Read2Go. The downfall is that he can't see the pictures and must keep a regular or large print textbook open beside him when he needs to reference any graphics. Hopefully this will be a quick addition!

thanks, thanks, thanks! this will greatly improve my young student's inclusion in the social celebration that goes with literacy in the early grades.
